INDUCTIONCIÓN AND BIOACCUMULATION OF PHYTOALEXINS IN POTATO THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF VARIOUS NATURAL EXTRACTS
 

Jose Morera S.L. laboratory has carried out a specific study to prove that plants can increase their phytoalexins content, substances involved in plant defense mechanism, as result of the application of different vegetable extract of natural origin (Forticol Citrus, Forticol Mita y Forticol Sana), as well as the application of the potassium phosphite (Glass-K).



     
TALOSINT APPLICATION TO INDUCE RUSSETING ON PEAR CONFERENCE
 

The “russeting” is a physiological alteration that affects the cuticle of pear and apple fruits, it is considered a feature well appreciated by the market. This trial, conducted by Jose Morera SL in collaboration with “Estació Experimental Agrícola Mas Badia” (Girona, Spain), proved how the application of Talosint (products based on Copper) is able to induct this fruit alteration with no adverse effect on plant productivity. Copper hydroxide is usually applied to induce russeting, but this treatment reduces the plat productivity in a 60%. Talosint did not significantly change the productivity as well as increase the percentage of fruit with russeting in an 80%, with regard to the untreated control. Concerning the number of treatment, 3 applications of Talosint resulted more effective than 5.



     
IINCREASE PROTEIN CONTENT IN ALFALFA (Medicago sativa)
 

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is a perennial forage legume plant, rich in protein, fiber content, vitamins and minerals (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, etc.). It is a basic component of the animal diet, for this reason it is mainly employed in farms, especially those that produce meat and milk. In this test carried out by Jose Morera SL we have proved that an adecuated fertilization can increase yeald productivity and proteins content, these two factors are basic in order to estimate the price of production.



     
HOW TO CONTROL THE COMPLEX OF FUNGI INVOLVED IN GRAPEVINE TRUNK DISEASE
 

The complex of fungi involved in grapevine trunk disease is one of the biggest problems in the cultivation of vines, resulting have an economic impact each day more relevant. Studies conducted by Jose Morera SL, in collaboration with government agencies and with EOR certified organisms, could demonstrate that the product TaloSint is able to control this disease in an effective way. Below we show the results obtained during more than three years of studies, particularly in the areas close to the province of Valencia
